Overview
South Australia Trading Tracks is a business development initiative established by the Local Buying Foundation in partnership with BHP to support and grow Aboriginal enterprises in the regions where BHP operates. The program is designed to strengthen the capability, capacity, confidence and networks of locally based Indigenous and Traditional Owner, small to medium businesses, enabling them to access opportunities within local supply chains and the broader economy.
Activities
Business Referrals
- If your business needs specialist support, we will connect you to trusted providers.
- That might include legal advice, accounting, digital systems, governance, or tender support.
- We are not here to replace existing services. We are here to help you access the right ones at the right time.
Workshops
- Practical sessions focused on real business skills.
- From planning and pricing to procurement readiness and financial management, workshops are designed to be useful, not theoretical.
- You should leave with something you can actually use.
Networking
- Build connections that matter.
- Meet other Aboriginal and Traditional Owner businesses, industry representatives, and potential partners in a supportive environment.
- Relationships often open doors that paperwork alone cannot.
Mentoring
- Work one on one with someone who understands business and the regional landscape.
- Talk through challenges, test ideas, and build practical next steps that suit where your business is right now.
- Sometimes you just need space to think clearly. Mentoring gives you that.
