How do I use the Toolkit?

1. Start with what matters most to your business

You don’t have to read the Toolkit in order. Use the Table of Contents to jump to the areas where you need the most support.

2. Complete the checklists and templates

The Toolkit includes checklists and templates to help you evaluate your readiness and improve your documents (e.g. business plan, quote, capability statement).

3. Follow the links to helpful external resources

Where applicable, we have included links to programs, templates, and platforms such as business.gov.au, ICN Gateway, and the Office of the Industry Advocate.

4. Use this Toolkit to support conversations with buyers and advisors

Whether you're meeting a project contact, your accountant, or a funding partner, this Toolkit gives you a structured way to present your business and identify gaps.

5. Keep it updated

As your business grows, revisit the Toolkit to update your documents, track progress, or prepare for new opportunities.

Tip

If you're unsure where to begin, start with the Capability Statement section. This document is often requested first by project buyers and is the foundation of your business profile.
