Its five signature themes span Creative and Cultural; Defence and National Security; Food, Agriculture and Wine; Personal and Societal Health; and the Sustainable Green Transition. Industrial transformation to drive economic growth whilst moving to a low carbon economy is central to the Sustainable Green Transition theme. The resources, energy and agricultural sectors sit at the core of this challenge and the Upper Spencer Gulf has a critical role to play.
Adelaide University has an active teaching and research presence in the Upper Spencer Gulf based at our Whyalla Campus. Our intention is to grow that presence, listening to local businesses and communities and responding to regional challenges and opportunities.
