Tactical Advantage Program

Helping regional businesses identify and prepare for
upcoming business opportunities with major projects.

Supported by Northern Water and in collaboration with MLCS Corporate, we are proud to announce the development of the Tactical Advantage Program. The program is an initiative designed to help small businesses in the Upper Spencer Gulf, Far North, Eyre Peninsula, Yorke, and Mid-North regions identify business opportunities and grow their capacity and business capability to meet the expected new demand for regionally sourced goods and services over the next decade.

This business support program is tailored to the unique needs of local suppliers and will equip local businesses with the necessary strategies and expertise, setting them up for success in major projects within the region.

Program Objectives

  • Empower local suppliers to identify the upcoming opportunities and to integrate into the supply chain of major projects and buyers
  • Build the business case to invest in new capacity and capabilities in the context of expected project needs for regionally sourced goods and services
  • Strengthen local supplier capability in alignment with the evolving needs of major project proponents
  • Leave a lasting legacy of stronger sustainable regional businesses with enhanced business acumen and connectivity within the region

Four stages to the development of the Tactical Advantage Program

Stage 1

Identifying the needs of local suppliers and align them with the requirements of major projects.

Stage 2

Conducting a comprehensive gap analysis to pinpoint areas of improvement and opportunity for suppliers and major buyers alike.

Stage 3

Delivering targeted business capability support through interactive workshops designed to foster growth and skill development.

Stage 4

Providing personalised capacity-building support through one-on-one business consultations, ensuring tailored assistance for each participating business.
